Adding a 10 percent buffer to your calculated surface area should provide enough tiles for a few bad cuts. Lay some thinset on a notched trowel and spread it evenly on the wall and then lay your first piece of tile in place. Press the tiles into the mortar in the pattern you determined in the dry fit. Once you have the first section of tiles in place you can cut tiles out if you are going to add colored tiles. This will insure the proper spacing in between the tiles. Attach stone or tile trim to the front edge of the tub with silicone to cover an uneven floor tub joint.

Firmly press each tile in place and give it a slight twisting motion to be sure it makes good contact with the adhesive. Continue installing tiles in this manner. Assuring the tiles are level.

Concrete subfloors provide the ideal surface for limestone tiles. Limestone tile is a perfect stone for kitchens and bathrooms. Limestone tiles are similar to other stone times but they are porous and can be stained during installation since they have not yet been sealed properly. Press the tile against the wall and slide it up in down a little to ensure all the ridges are fully collapsed.

Place the lower edge on the spacer and rotate the tile into position. Take your time and work on the wall in 3 square foot sections.
